Historically, the setting of King Arthur, Somerset still has a magical feel to it. The county of Somerset has a very diverse landscape, including 5 ranges of hills and three Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty including the Levels and Moors: the finest remaining lowland wetland area left in Britain which has international appeal for its wide range of birds, wildlife and landscape. Exmoor national park is a land unto itself, there are beautiful landscapes, and many wild species that are not seen elsewhere.

The county has over 45 miles of coastline, three Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a range of marked walking trails and cycle routes.

The county of Somerset in England’s west country has a wonderful mixture of countryside with beautiful walks and cycle routes, and 45 miles of very attractive coastline. There are over 150 attractions and around 1800 accommodation establishments. A county steeped in history and legend – this is the home of King Arthur, King Alfred and historic Wells - the smallest city in England. Glastonbury Tor stands proudly over the Somerset Levels and Moors and at the other end of the county is Exmoor National Park, with its dramatic coastline and sweeping moorland. The long sandy beaches and family coastal resorts such as Minehead and Burnham-on- Sea are especially popular bases for families.

Beautiful villages and historic market towns are dotted throughout the county and there are several historic stately houses and gardens. The county town of Taunton is ideal for shopping, as is the factory shopping centre at Clarks Village, Street. Throughout Somerset, cider orchards remind you that this is a county proud of its local produce.

Wells, the smallest city in England with a magnificent cathedral is a jewel in Somerset’s historical crown. A county famous for the legends of King Arthur, there are also several castles and ruined abbeys. Somerset has a rich cultural heritage still in evidence today such as the willow industry or the spectacular illuminated autumn carnivals. There are many historically significant houses and gardens in the county, particularly in the southern and central areas.

Although tourism is a significant part of the Somerset economy, the area is by no means a backwater, other main industries being food and drink processing - including agriculture, advanced/precision engineering, and public/private administration, including financial/professional services. All these services need backup from many areas, including advertising. Cost effective advertising is what is needed in Somerset as in anywhere else and WebNet is here to help. By optimising your existing site using the WebNet article and business card your site will go up in ranking and this means more business for local people.
